Understanding the core principles of bank management

Goal
Participants learn to understand the bank in the conflicting fields of risk and return and to evaluate the impact on the customer as well as on risk management. The programme covers bank controlling as part of a university course.

- The financial market system and central bank policy
- Basics of financial mathematics will be explained and demonstrated using examples
- Controlling instruments for banks and the transfer pricing method Risk/return controlling and risk-bearing capacity at the core of bank management
- Understanding treasury tasks and asset & liability management
- Managing all banking risks
- Equity management

- Staff from sales departments with responsibility for pricing and/or customer accounts
- Staff responsible for tasks in the fields of controlling and planning
- Staff from specialist departments (e.g. HR or marketing) seeking to develop an overall understanding of the banking business

Banking*Certificate
The Banking*Certificate testifies to a solid understanding of value-oriented bank management. Graduates will know how their area of competence fits into the overall bank structure and understand the basic principles of bank controlling and how prices are calculated.
This certificate will also earn you 3 ECTS (European Transfer Credit System) points that are fully transferable to other related courses and universities within the European Union.
